Acceptable Use Policy
Effective September 19, 2026. Issued by Finance Operating System. Governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States.
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of the Terms of Service between you and Finance Operating System. It applies to every user, organization, API key, and integration that touches the Service. Finance Operating System operates from the State of Florida, United States. Violations may result in suspension or termination, reports to authorities, and other remedies available under Florida and U.S. law.
2. You may not
- Use the Service for fraud, identity theft, money laundering, tax evasion, sanctions evasion, terrorist financing, or any other unlawful purpose under U.S. or Florida law.
- Upload, store, or transmit content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights.
- Upload malware, ransomware, or any code intended to damage, disable, or gain unauthorized access to systems.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service except as part of coordinated disclosure to security@financeoperatingsystem.com.
- Circumvent rate limits, authentication, billing, bot protection, or any other technical limitation.
- Resell, sublicense, or expose the Service to third parties without a written firm-portal or partner agreement.
- Use AI features to generate content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or designed to mislead regulators, auditors, counterparties, or the public.
- Interfere with other customers' use of the Service, including by overloading infrastructure or scraping the product in a way that impairs availability.
- Submit personal data without a lawful basis, or use the Service to collect data from children.
- Impersonate Finance Operating System, our staff, or another person, or misrepresent your affiliation.
3. Restricted industries
Finance Operating System is not offered to businesses primarily engaged in activities we cannot support under U.S. law or our banking and payments partners' rules, including adult content, illegal firearms commerce, unlicensed gambling, unlicensed money transmission, and cannabis distribution where prohibited by federal law. We may refuse or terminate accounts in these categories.
4. Financial-crime controls
You must not use the Service to evade OFAC sanctions, the Bank Secrecy Act, or similar regimes. We may freeze, review, or close accounts, and we may share information with payment partners or authorities when we reasonably believe it is required or appropriate.
5. Reporting abuse
Report suspected abuse or content violations to abuse@financeoperatingsystem.com. We investigate reports and aim to respond within five business days. Security vulnerabilities should go to security@financeoperatingsystem.com, not to public exploit channels.
6. Enforcement
We may remove content, suspend features, or terminate accounts that violate this AUP. For clear, ongoing, or high-risk violations we may act without prior notice and preserve data for the period required by law or our legitimate interests before deletion.
7. Governing law
This AUP is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, and disputes are subject to the venue provisions in the Terms of Service.
